Protegg GmbH from Munich is an innovative impact start-up that specialises in the sustainable upcycling of waste materials from the egg-processing industry. Using its own technology, Protegg upcycles eggshells and eggshell membranes that were previously unused.

Protegg's pioneering upcycling process helps the egg industry to significantly reduce the amount of waste, which not only saves costs but also significantly reduces the ecological footprint.

The raw materials obtained - biogenic lime (calcium carbonate) and eggshell membrane - form the basis for the development of the high-quality Protegg Materials.
