In this role you will be responsible for company-wide IT licence and asset management – from needs analysis and procurement, through the management of licence inventories and usage rights, to decommissioning. You will create a reliable database, further develop standards and ensure that economic, regulatory and security-related requirements are taken into account throughout the software lifecycle.

What you can expect from us

IT licence and asset management establishes the basis for managing software inventories, usage rights and requirements transparently and reliably across the company. The role combines operational data quality with financial management, compliance, and the requirements arising from data protection and information security.

Your tasks include

  • Further development of company-wide licence management and the standards and processes required for it
  • Responsibility for IT asset management and the creation of a reliable database covering the entire lifecycle of software assets
  • Transparent, cost-effective and audit-proof management of licence inventories, usage rights and requirements
  • Coordination of the software lifecycle from requirements analysis and procurement through compliance and software portfolio to decommissioning
  • Coordination of projects with data protection and information security regarding GDPR, data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and further security requirements
  • Translation of regulatory and organisational requirements into practical guidelines and work instructions, and embedding them in everyday work

What you bring with you

  • Completed degree in (Business) Informatics, Business Administration with a focus on IT, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in IT licence management, IT asset management or in a comparable role
  • Good knowledge of common software licensing models and experience in managing licence and asset data in a structured, traceable and reliable manner
  • Experience in project management as well as in the selection, implementation or further development of software solutions
  • Practical knowledge in data protection and information security
  • Ideally knowledge of ISO/IEC 19770; experience with RaySAM is also desirable
  • Ability to combine technical, economic and regulatory requirements and communicate them in a way that is tailored to the target audience
  • Structured and independent working method
  • Fluent spoken and written German at C1 level
