As Head of Software Development (m/f/d) and technical co-lead, you will take responsibility for development, technical architecture, and processes within our Software Development & Operation department. You will support teams, promote the further development of managers, and make decisions that sustainably strengthen software quality and team collaboration.

Your tasks include

Sharing strategic responsibility for the technical development of our CRM platform – backend, frontend and APIs.
Ensuring modern architectural and development standards are maintained within the tech stack (PHP, TypeScript, Vue.js, GraphQL, MariaDB/MySQL).
Further development of coding guidelines, testing strategies (PHPUnit) as well as CI/CD and versioning processes (Git).
Optimisation and scaling of development processes, with a focus on performance, maintainability and stability.
Supporting tech leads and senior developers with technical challenges and professional development.
Involvement in structural and technological decisions at departmental level – from architectural roadmaps to organisational design.

What you bring with you

Extensive experience in software development, with a strong focus on software architecture and scalable processes.
In-depth knowledge of PHP and modern web technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue.js, HTML, CSS, GraphQL).
Experience with relational databases (MariaDB/MySQL), test automation (PHPUnit), and Git-based workflows.
Proven leadership experience managing multiple teams or team leads – ideally in the CRM or SaaS sector.
Strong leadership skills: You will support teams, encourage independent working and help shape the engineering culture.
Empathetic, transparent communication in German (C1+) and English.
