Job description

As a DevOps Engineer, you will take on technical leadership of our infrastructure and DevOps practices. You are familiar with modern cloud technologies and deployment strategies. As part of our team, you will automate processes, optimise workflows, and ensure reliable and scalable systems. You will actively work on projects and products as well as cross-project infrastructure and DevOps strategy, and you will be responsible for ensuring that best practices are lived at JUST ADD AI.

Your tasks include

  • Infrastructure as Code: You are responsible for and further develop our Infrastructure as Code
  • CI/CD Pipelines: You design and optimise CI/CD pipelines for reliable, automated deployments
  • Container orchestration: You orchestrate containerised applications and work with cloud platforms
  • Technical quality: You identify technical debt and risks early on and address them proactively
  • Mentoring: You mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and foster knowledge sharing
  • Best Practices: You bring best practices to the team and help others implement them
  • Full-Stack Development: You will flexibly jump into full-stack development when capacity is available.
  • Coding Assistants: You develop, test, and document with intensive use of LLM-based coding assistants
  • End-to-End: You are involved in the development from conception to commissioning.

What you bring with you

  • You have a very good degree in Computer Science or a comparable background
  • You have several years of experience with Infrastructure as Code frameworks such as Terraform or Ansible
  • You have in-depth knowledge of Kubernetes, both conceptually and in practical application.
  • You have very good programming skills, follow best practices, and have already successfully brought software projects using TypeScript or Python into production.
  • You have practical experience deploying applications using CI/CD tools such as ArgoCD.
  • You have familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
    Network expertise, especially in conjunction with cloud providers, is advantageous
  • You enjoy encouraging others and sharing your knowledge.
  • You think outside the box and actively look for improvements.
  • You enjoy working in a team and can communicate effectively with people from different professions (technical and non-technical).
  • You have very good German language skills.
  • You have a strong sense of responsibility and recognise risks early on.
  • Your motivation and self-discipline enable you to achieve a high standard of quality, deliver results on time, and motivate other team members.
  • You are using modern tools, including AI, to work more efficiently.
