At the Sparkassen Innovation Hub (S-Hub), we're making the (financial) daily lives of our customers and partners easier – with concepts and product ideas that we test for their potential and feasibility.

During your training, you'll learn step by step how compelling concepts emerge from initial ideas – from research and idea development to initial prototypes and storylines. You'll work on real tasks, be able to contribute your own perspectives, and be guided by experienced designers who will show you how to develop step by step.

Your tasks include

  • Understanding Customers & Target GroupsYou will learn to analyse task descriptions and determine who a product or solution is intended for. To do this, you will research target groups, try to better understand the requirements of partners within the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, examine existing offerings, and gather examples for guidance.
  • Developing and making approaches tangible: You use simple creative methods to develop initial ideas and capture them in sketches, mood boards or short descriptions so that others can easily understand them.
  • Develop concepts You help to think through approaches: structuring content, considering workflows, and creating initial layouts – for example for apps, websites, or presentations.
  • Design and implement You visually implement designs, for example, with design tools. In doing so, you learn how design works (colours, fonts, imagery) and how understandable designs emerge from this.
  • Create prototypes You are learning to build simple clickable prototypes or visualisations so that potential solutions can be tested and improved.
  • Shaping communication content: You will create content for various channels – e.g. social media posts, graphics, or event materials. In doing so, you will learn how to present messages clearly and appealingly visually.
  • Working in a team and facilitating workshops: You collaborate with designers, developers, and other colleagues, and support workshops – by preparing materials or documenting results.

What you bring with you

  • Good school leaver's qualification (Realschule or (Fach-)Abitur), especially in the subjects of Informatics or Art
  • Initial experience with design or content (e.g. social media, Canva etc.)
  • Interest in design, trends, technology, and innovation
  • Creativity and a flair for design and aesthetics
  • The desire to work in a self-organised way and to develop yourself further
    Enjoyment of teamwork and communication
