What you can expect from us

As a System Engineer Security (m/f/d), you will become the security heart of our IT infrastructure, ensuring that our platforms remain stable, protected, and future-proof.

Your tasks include

You make our systems safer. Every day.

Security Architecture & Hardening: You design and implement security measures for our Linux servers, web clusters, and databases.
SIEM & Central Logging: You'll be building our central logging and SIEM landscape – including use cases, connectivity, and monitoring.
Identity & Access Management: You will further develop our IAM processes, manage Keycloak and One Identity, and ensure "Least Privilege" across all systems.
Vulnerability Management: You conduct vulnerability scans (Tenable), assess risks, and coordinate patching actions with the teams.
Network Security: You optimise firewalls, VPN gateways, and WAF configurations.
Security Consulting: You create guidelines and advise our project teams on secure architectures.

What you bring with you

Technical Know‑how & Safety Focus
A degree in IT or a comparable qualification with a focus on IT Security
In-depth experience with Linux/Unix systems
Expertise in Logging & Monitoring (ELK, Splunk, Graylog, or comparable systems)
In-depth understanding in the IAM environment, ideally with Keycloak, LDAP/AD, OIDC, and SAML
Experience in Vulnerability Management, ideally with Tenable
Knowledge of common standards such as ISO 27001 or BSI-Grundschutz
Understanding of web/application security (Apache/Nginx, MySQL/MariaDB, OWASP Top 10)
A structured way of working and a high sense of responsibility for data security
