HORYZN is a student initiative comprised of 70 Bachelor and Master students from the TU Munich. The team is conceptualising, designing, and building eVTOL (electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing) UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) for real-life applications. Recruitment: https://horyzn.org/recruiting/ 💡𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 HORYZN was founded in 2019, with students contributing to our various sub-teams: Flight Testing & Control, CAD, Integration & Design Loop, Structure, and Business. The student initiative has also become part of NEXT Prototypes e.V. HORYZN is particularly proud of the internationality of the team – over 20 countries are represented. 💭𝗠𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 HORYZN primarily aims to solve real-life problems with a good purpose by applying theoretical knowledge gained at university. Alongside this, the initiative strives for increased social and political acceptance of UAVs. ✅𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗧 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗦 In July 2024, we completed our latest project: Our UAV KOLIBRI, developed for delivering life-saving defibrillators, successfully took off after 12 months of testing, building, crashing, and redesigning. 🛠𝗖𝗨𝗥𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧 Currently, the new HORYZN team is developing an autonomous life-saving passenger drone to compete in the GoAERO Prize, redefining the field of Advanced Air Medical Mobility.
