Application Manager System Management (m/f/d)

The Applications System Management organisational unit is responsible for the development and operation of applications in the areas of the energy market and data and congestion management in Amprion's system management. Many applications are also provided for the German and European transmission system operators in the context of overarching cooperation. Applications for schedule management form the foundation of national and international energy trading. Traders register their planned energy transactions with the transmission system operator, who automatically checks and approves them accordingly. 

 

Job description

The Applications System Management organisational unit is responsible for the development and operation of applications in the areas of the energy market and data and congestion management in Amprion's system management. Many applications are also provided for the German and European transmission system operators in the context of overarching cooperation. Applications for schedule management form the foundation of national and international energy trading. Traders register their planned energy transactions with the transmission system operator, who automatically checks and approves them accordingly. 

 

Your tasks include

  • Management, coordination and realisation of IT projects for the implementation of system management processes and interfaces in the area of timetable management 
  • Design, implementation and administration of IT-supported processes and interfaces in timetable management, e.g. configuration of communication interfaces, evaluation of events in log files or development of short-term data provisioning
  • Stakeholder management with internal and external users of the applications, system technology and external software service providers
  • Preparation and follow-up of commissioning and ensuring smooth operation through appropriate test and quality management
  • Implementation of monitoring for availability and data quality as well as elimination of IT risks (e.g. against cyber attacks)
  • Collaboration in the 24/7 on-call service - a few weeks a year - for fault clearance of all applications in Amprion's system management
     

What you bring with you

  • Completed (specialised) university degree in the field of electrical engineering, (business) informatics, industrial engineering or related STEM subjects
  • Strong ability to analyse, configure and optimise complex IT processes
  • Enjoy working in an open-minded team and with the stakeholders of the applications
  • Good written and spoken English language skills
