Job description

As a transmission system operator, Amprion GmbH operates Germany's largest extra-high voltage grid. At the Pulheim-Brauweiler site near Cologne, the transmission grid is monitored and controlled by the system management and thus makes a significant contribution to the energy transition. For this purpose, various IT systems are operated by our team, which we are looking to strengthen.

Your tasks include

  • Monitoring and administration of storage systems (e.g. HPE Primera)
  • Configuration and management of SAN switches (e.g. Brocade) and the storage infrastructure
  • Responsibility for and support of backup systems (e.g. CommVault)
  • Contribute to the further development of the systems by developing and implementing plans and concepts in the team and with internal customers
  • Creation of operating concepts and technical documentation for the systems you support

What you bring with you

  • a degree in information technology or a degree programme related to IT or a comparable qualification
  • Experience in storage, SAN and backup
  • Expertise in the area of storage infrastructure and expertise in the area of backup and backup concepts desirable
  • Ability to communicate and work in a team, a high degree of personal responsibility and a solution-orientated and structured way of working
