What you can expect from us

The "Command and Control Systems & STF (Joint Tactical Fire Support)" division is responsible for the Bundeswehr's IT systems. Security and reliability are therefore of central importance. The team installs and supports the systems and trains their users.
Tasks

Your tasks include

  • Development of new software components for military command and control systems
  • Maintenance and servicing of existing software modules
  • Participation in the development of software emulators and simulation components
  • Creation of documentation components
  • Support with error analysis and troubleshooting
  • Support with the creation of specification parts
  • Maintenance and servicing of support tools (e.g. test framework)
  • Processing of technical tasks in the ADLER / TARANIS environment

What you bring with you

  • Completed technical vocational training (e.g. IT specialist specialising in application development (f/m/d)) or further training as a technician/master craftsman (f/m/d)
  • Several years of relevant professional experience and enjoyment of programming
  • Knowledge of an object-orientated programming language (e.g. C# in the .NET framework)
  • Basic knowledge of test methodology, test process and test automation
  • Experience with various tools (e.g. JIRA, Jenkins, TFS, Git) in the field of software development desirable
  • Open communication, professional discussion and assertiveness within the team and towards diverse interest groups
  • Goal- and solution-orientated thinking, contributing new ideas and suggestions and enjoying teamwork
  • Very good German and good English skills
