We are looking for a full-time or part-time Sales Consultant IBM i (a) (min. 20 hours/week) to join our growing PKS sales team, which already consists of five colleagues and needs further reinforcement.

In addition to project and licence acquisition, this sales role focuses primarily on providing technical advice to our customers on the topic of "application modernisation". You will provide competent, long-term support to IT managers and decision-makers and aim to always find the best option for the company between replacement, modernisation and switching to standard software. You will work closely with our experts from technology, consulting and marketing.

Your tasks include

  • You identify customer potential at IBM i (aka AS/400) application companies, initiate sales talks and manage the acquisition process
  • You win new customers and acquire follow-up sales from existing customers
  • You prepare lead generation measures and support our marketing team in their implementation
  • You support the strategic and planning design of the PKS portfolio in dialogue with the relevant divisional managers in technology and sales

What you bring with you

  • You have 3-5 years of sales or consulting experience in the core segment IBM i
  • You convince through binding and competent communication and are absolutely reliable
  • You enjoy presenting at all stakeholder levels (onsite and online)
  • You work very independently and in a structured manner
  • You are flexible and prepared for occasional business trips to trade fairs, customers and partners
  • You communicate fluently in written and spoken German and well in English
