The Frontend Foundation Team is part of our Developer Experience & Platform Area and responsible for our frontend architecture (company-wide), establishing and maintaining company-wide coding standards, driving technical enablement as well as acting as internal consultants. In order to achieve these goals, you will be working closely with product teams, and driving innovation in the developer experience. Your tasks include

  • As Senior Full-Stack Engineer (all genders) in our Frontend Foundation team you play a key role in educating and actively supporting our product teams
  • Your responsibilities extend to maintaining our essential internal libraries, which serve as the backbone for various applications across the company
  • You will maintain and enhance the AppShell, a core application that unifies our micro-frontends into a seamless SPA-like experience.Your responsibilities include improving its performance, adding new features, and ensuring smooth integration with evolving micro-frontend requirements
  • You will work on Luma, our proprietary front-end framework that integrates seamlessly with the AppShell and supports internal micro-frontends. This involves maintaining and improving the framework, adding new capabilities, and ensuring it meets modern front-end standards
  • Additionally, you oversee our internal web tracking services, ensuring seamless ingestion and sharing of tracking events across our ecosystem - this complex task involves utilising technologies like Node.js, Kafka and Kubernetes

What you bring with you

  • You have extensive experience as an engineer and are used to solving different engineering problems with the tools and frameworks that make sense both for the problem domain and the engineering organisation
  • You have profound knowledge of our full-stack tech stack which is JavaScript (Vue.js) and Node.js - hands-on PHP experience is a plus
  • While prior experience with A/B testing and web tracking tools is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite, as we are committed to providing comprehensive training - however, a keen willingness to engage with and master these tools is essential
  • You have excellent communication skills, are fluent in English (C1) and enjoy working in an international environment
  • You are knowledgeable about testing, debugging, and deployment techniques for web applications
  • You have the drive to continuously develop both yourself and your team further in order to become a little bit better every day 
  • You have a very high capacity for abstraction, analytical thinking and your actions are always based on partnership
