This position combines two subject areas:

As a test manager, you design the entire IT test management structure with the relevant product owners/key users and can thus help to increase efficiency and minimise uncertainty regarding software errors.

In your role as a release manager, you will ensure that the preparation phases, release management and acceptance processes are all carried out.

 

You can look forward to these main tasks

  • You coordinate and are responsible for IT test management with the
    • Planning, coordination and implementation of all test activities within the scope of software projects.
    • Creation of test plans, specifications and processes in collaboration with the project teams.
    • Support in the creation of test cases and test data for functional, non-functional and regression tests.
    • Execution and monitoring of tests as well as error tracking and reporting.
    • Implementation and maintenance of test management tools and processes to ensure efficient test execution.
  • You will also be involved in the implementation of release management:
    • Co-design of the company-wide release strategy planning, coordination and documentation in IT
    • Support in the identification and elimination of risks and problems regarding the impact on release scope, quality and schedule
    • Maintenance and improvement of the entire release and deployment process chain and support in ensuring the compatibility of process interfaces (e.g. to IT change management / IT change management)
    • Monitoring and control of release activities, including the execution of test phases, approval procedures and production releases
    • Development and implementation of best practices and standards in the area of release management to continuously improve the efficiency and quality of releases

 

You convince us with the following skills

  • Completed studies in (business) informatics or a related subject area
  • Relevant professional experience in release management or related areas such as project management or IT service management
  • Sound knowledge of release management tools and methods
  • Good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with different teams and stakeholders
  • Analytical mindset and the ability to solve complex problems
  • Team-orientation and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Certifications such as ITIL or Agile are an advantage
  • Conceptual skills combined with strong communication and assertiveness
