AI Meetup Frankfurt

Media/Internet

This is a group for anyone interested in artificial intelligence. All skill levels are welcome, which also means we can not offer hardcore skill sessions. We started this group to talk about AI philosophy, neuroscience, case-studies and give an overview over a wide-range of AI-related topics. Looking forward to exploring all kinds of intelligence with you!

Why do 67% of AI projects fail? And what leads to success?

Despite massive investments and excitement around AI, the reality is stark: most AI projects fail to deliver meaningful business value. Our recent survey of 64 experienced AI practitioners from the DACH region confirms this challenge, revealing that 67% of AI projects fail, with generative AI projects showing even higher failure rates according to MIT research reaching 95%. This talk examines what drives these failures and what characterizes the successful minority. Based on detailed practitioner responses, we’ll explore why organizational challenges consistently outweigh technical ones in determining project outcomes, and examine how generative AI’s rapid prototyping capabilities create unique management challenges.

Dr Christian Debes

  • Head of Data Analytics & AI and Co-founder at SPRYFOX, Lecturer at the Technical University of Darmstadt

AI Creative Ops: Building an Agentic Ad Platform

Andrei Averin, a digital marketing strategist who has automated marketing and creative workflows over 8+ years, will walk you through how AI agents can transform advertising — not just theory, but concepts he learned building this. He’ll explore agent orchestration patterns, how to structure prompts for campaign strategy, and techniques for getting AI models to collaborate effectively. He’ll explain the architecture decisions behind connecting planning agents with creative generation and performance analysis. You’ll see real ads and videos the system generated, and he’ll share what worked, what failed, and practical lessons about agent coordination. For anyone curious about building agentic systems that actually deliver business value.

When Agents Talk: Exploring Agent-to-Agent Communication and the Model Context Protocol

AI is moving beyond single chatbots toward ecosystems of connected, autonomous agents. This talk introduces Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication and the Model Context Protocol (MCP), two emerging standards that let agents coordinate tasks and safely access tools and data. Through real examples, we’ll explore how these technologies enable more capable, secure, and interoperable AI systems.

Running your simple python scripts up to your own LLM API on European Clouds

Dominance of US clouds has created a bias of thinking in possibilities. Anyone would think you need them absolutely to run anything on the web. Red from parametry.ai is going to bust that myth and show you what’s possible with European data centers, some of the best in the world and a new kid in the corner that makes your data scientist go-to-cloud journey much easier. Running your simple python scripts and dashboards, up to running your own LLM API.

Are Humans Intelligent?

This talk explores the concept of intelligence, starting with a review of existing definitions and moving towards a fresh perspective on the different types of intelligence. Challenging the conventional narratives, the discussion highlights several inherent limitations of human intelligence and argues that its evolution has been relatively stagnant. Notably, the talk questions our understanding of what it means to „understand“ in the first place. The presentation shifts to the progress in artificial intelligence, covering different categories like Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI). It addresses AI alignment, biases, and raises the provocative argument that we may already be in the era of AGI, despite humanity’s struggles to even define it. The talk concludes by urging that if we do not evolve ourselves, AI will inevitably surpass us.
