Bayerisches Landesamt für Verfassungsschutz

State Office for the Protection of the Constitution

Public service

The Bavarian State Office for the Protection of the Constitution is one of Germany's largest domestic intelligence services and is based in Munich.

We inform the government and parliament, other government agencies such as the police, but also the population about existential threats to our state and our democracy from extremist or terrorist groups, espionage and cyber attacks. To this end, we collect and analyse information on such security threats.

You can find more information about our office and our work at www.verfassungsschutz.bayern.de, in the reports on the protection of the constitution and in our podcast "Abgehört".
