At XPOST Cologne, the focus is on the questions that are currently occupying tech teams. Tech talks, keynotes and masterclasses provide insights into current technologies and concrete projects. In between, there is time for personal conversations, new contacts and a real festival atmosphere.
Das Paradigma Software Defined Defence (SDD) setzt neue Maßstäbe in der Verteidigung. Es soll der Bundeswehr ermöglichen, schnell und flexibel auf neue Bedrohungen reagieren zu können. Die agile Softwareentwicklung rückt dabei in den Vordergrund. In diesem Talk zeigt Janina, wie die BWI als primärer Digitalisierungspartner der Bundeswehr Software entwickelt und dabei die Zukunft der Verteidigung gestaltet.
Die Bundeswehr und insbesondere die IT-Landschaft ist in den letzten Jahren enorm gewachsen. Ob die pünktliche Zahlung von Gehältern, die Instandsetzung von Fahrzeugen und Geräten, die Beschaffung von Material oder das Personalmanagement. Alles wird in einer zentralen SAP-Landschaft verwaltet. Als primärer Digitalisierungspartner der Bundeswehr hat die BWI die Umstellung auf das neue SAP S4/HANA System die letzten Jahre vorangetrieben. Auf dem Weg dorthin: Mehr als 20.000 Anpassungen am Custom Code, 150 Schnittstellen und über 1.000 beteiligte Tester*innen. In seinem Tech Talk gibt Lucas Einblicke in eines der größten SAP-Projekte in Europa und darüber, welche Kompetenzen notwendig sind, um einen Systemwechsel mit dieser Größenordnung erfolgreich umzusetzen.
