As an IT Operations Technician, you are the first point of contact for IT issues at Bacardi.
You support colleagues with 1st level support, ensure smooth processes, technical support for computers, peripheral devices, networks, collaboration tools and everything to do with the workplace.
If you can solve the problem directly - great! If not, pass it on to 2nd or 3rd level support and stay in contact with the user until everything is up and running again.

Your area of work includes our locations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Your workplace is in Hamburg.

You will also ensure that our IT infrastructure is stable - this includes network configuration, installation of operating systems, software and hardware - all in accordance with our IT guidelines and standards, of course.

Flexibility is particularly important in this role - You may have to fill in outside regular working hours or support other locations remotely or on site.

Your tasks include

  • You support users in all IT matters relating to the network, workplace & collaboration tools - reliably and helpfully
  • You supervise and manage the service desk
  • You provide 1st and/or 2nd level technical support - by telephone or directly on site
  • You make initial diagnoses and pass them on to the next level of support if necessary
  • You carefully document incidents and support cases in our internal tools
  • You recognise recurring problems and help to solve them permanently - including maintaining the internal knowledge database
  • You take over the backup and restore of the local systems
  • You take care of new colleagues, departures or internal changes - including equipment, additions, etc.
  • You manage user accounts in certain local applications
  • If external service providers are needed, you coordinate the contact and ensure that repairs or solutions are implemented
  • You ensure that the network is up and running for everyone at the site
  • You maintain logs for network usage as well as maintenance and repair work
  • You take care of the technology in the server room
  • You support local meetings - including VIPs if necessary

What you bring with you

  • You are good at communicating with end users - explaining what is going on technically in an understandable way, in a friendly manner in direct dialogue or on the phone
  • You are familiar with hardware, software, networks and ideally also SAP
  • You follow current IT trends and have a feel for topics such as data security and disaster recovery
  • You have a good understanding of IT governance, IT security and data protection
  • You understand how our business works - and how technology influences business processes
  • For example, you know what a server failure of one minute can mean for production
  • You have experience with helpdesk/support, incident management and perhaps also with data centre operations
  • You can analyse problems and get to the root of them
  • You work in a structured manner, prioritise well and stay focused even under pressure
  • You speak fluent German and English
     

What else would be helpful:

  • Experience in project management
  • Knowledge of ITIL
  • First points of contact with crisis management
  • You have dealt with different markets, cultures or local specialities
