How can the balance between electricity producers and consumers be established in the course of the energy transition so that the usual security of supply is guaranteed even when the wind is not blowing and the sun is not shining? Our solution: with a virtual power plant that networks many hundreds of decentralised renewable energy plants and switches them up and down according to the requirements of the grids. Since the company was founded in 2009, we have integrated over 15,000 of these plants - including easily controllable biogas plants with an output of 250 kW to over 1 MW - into our Next Pool virtual power plant. In this way, renewables are already balancing out some of the fluctuations that they themselves cause - true to our motto: "The renewables will take care of it themselves! In addition, we trade the electricity from the networked plants on the EEX spot market in order to promote the market integration of renewables and gradually reduce their dependence on state subsidies.
