Engineer Backoffice Group Control Centre North (m/f/d)

To prepare you for your job, we offer you an induction phase of around twelve months in the operational service of the control centre. Depending on your level of familiarisation, you will gradually take on responsibility for your area of work. During this time, you will be supported by experienced employees. Your training will also include participation in seminars and interdisciplinary exchanges. You will also get to know the grid partners relevant to group switchgear management, such as distribution grid and power plant operators as well as industrial customers.

 

Job description

Your training will also include participation in seminars and interdisciplinary exchanges. You will also get to know the grid partners relevant to group switchgear management, such as distribution grid and power plant operators as well as industrial customers.

 

Your tasks include

  • Coordination of grid management at the interface to distribution grid operators, industrial customers and power plant operators
  • Technical and organisational support for the Group Switching Management North 
  • Collaboration in the integration of computer-aided procedures to support processes in the operational service
  • Co-ordination of activation for the implementation of system and line projects as well as for maintenance measures
  • Design and further development of processes in the area of responsibility of the group switching centre, including for disrupted grid operation and grid restoration after a grid collapse
  • Temporary assignment as a network management engineer in the operational service of the responsible control centre for remote control and monitoring of the transmission network

What you bring with you

  • Completed studies in a relevant field of electrical engineering, degree: BachelorMaster/Dipl.-Ing. (FH/TH/TU)
  • Previous knowledge in the field of electrical power supply systems is desirable
  • quick comprehension, a high degree of responsibility and resilience
  • Good written and spoken German and English language skills
  • Willingness to travel on business
