IT Service Specialist (m/f/d) specialising in IT service support and coordination

As part of a dedicated team, develop our customers' services in the areas of social affairs, youth, integration and in the LVR clinics! 

You ensure safe and stable operation and further development in your service areas

as a 2nd level specialist through

  • Extension and adaptation of applications by means of customising
  • Support with application-specific identity and access management
  • Updating applications as part of patch, release and deployment management
  • Troubleshooting together with internal and external service providers in incident management
  • Participation in projects

as a change and support coordinator through

  • Planning, clarification and calculation of customer orders
  • Timely and economical realisation of customer orders
  • Management of internal and external service providers on a contractual basis
  • Coordination of troubleshooting within the framework of the SLAs
  • Cooperation with service owners

You will carry out your tasks at the Cologne-Deutz site or from your home office as agreed individually. You will be provided with the necessary technical equipment for mobile working.

What you bring with you

  • A university degree in computer science, mathematics or electrical engineering and information technology or in business informatics or communications engineering (FH diploma or Bachelor's degree) or
  • the qualification for the career path technical services, career group 2, 1st entry level, acquired through one of the above-mentioned degree programmes and a corresponding two and a half years of full-time professional activity or
  • other experience, skills and knowledge that make you suitable to perform the tasks of an IT service specialist specialising in central service management

What is still important to us

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in IT service support and coordination
  • Experience in managing internal and external service providers on a contractual basis
  • Good PL/SQL knowledge
  • Good knowledge of IT service management processes according to ITIL and the tools from the Atlassian stack
  • Good understanding of business administration
  • Organisational and negotiating skills in a cooperative environment
  • Dealing with colleagues, suppliers and customers
  • Quick comprehension and analytical thinking skills
  • A strong team, customer and solution orientation
  • Strong communication and conflict management skills as well as a confident demeanour
  • Fluent written and spoken German
  • Willingness to work (occasionally) in the evening and at weekends
  • Participation in the on-call service
