The Digital Transformation and IT Solutions (DIGITS) department promotes GIZ's digital transformation, manages the portfolio of IT projects, develops and operates IT systems, supports the IT needs of the external and internal structure, guarantees a high level of IT security and contributes to better internal processes and cross-divisional cooperation through digital solutions. The Digital Workplace - Cloud Services 2 team is responsible for the provision, further development and operation of central services such as email, telephony, video conferencing and document management for all colleagues in Germany and abroad as part of the IT operations of the Digital Transformation and IT Solutions (DIGITS) division. As the central contact person, the colleagues in the media technology and telecommunications team are supported in the daily operation of the systems. Together with colleagues, you will work on projects to drive forward digitalisation at home and abroad.

Job description

Your tasks include

Administration and operation of the current Polycom video conferencing system landscape at all German locations of the company
Planning, concept development and quotation calculation of complex media technology solutions, video conferencing and collaboration systems both in Germany and in our country offices/projects abroad
Organising workshops with internal partners/customers, e.g. facility management, on all topics relating to media technology equipment for conference rooms
Specialist processing of tenders for Unified Communications solutions and on-site or remote support
Management of external service providers
Collaboration and also management of internal IT projects
Takeover of 2nd level support
Creation of operational and user documentation in accordance with ISO 27001

What you bring with you

Degree from a university of applied sciences (computer science, information technology, communications engineering) or completed training as an IT specialist in system integration or equivalent knowledge and skills based on several years of proven professional experience in the described field of application
Good knowledge of the functionality and administration of conventional video conferencing systems (H.323 and SIP) and the infrastructure required for this (gatekeeper / SIP server and MCUs)
Network knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, QoS) and experience in the area of firewall and IT security
Many years of experience in the creation of routine procedures using MS Powershell
Initial knowledge of UC hardware and software (Microsoft Surface Hub, ACD solutions, Microsoft Endpoint Manager formerly Intune)
Experience with the administration of user objects in Active Directory is required, initial experience in Azure Active Directory is desirable

High degree of teamwork and self-motivation
Business fluent German and good English skills
