For our company Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH in Regensburg we are looking for you as Network Architect for Communication Systems in Substations (m/f/d).

What you can expect from us

You design and document communication networks in substations
You select, configure and integrate suitable network components - including switches, firewalls and media converters
You create and maintain data architectures within automation systems
You design and document semantic data models for internal systems and customer projects
You support the integration of our automation solutions into existing customer networks
You analyse network requirements, create technical concepts and support sales
You develop products in the area of data architecture, communication infrastructure and IoT with
You design IoT infrastructures (edge devices, protocols such as MQTT/REST, cloud connection)

What you bring with you

You have a degree in electrical engineering, network technology, automation technology or a comparable qualification
You have in-depth knowledge of network architectures (layer 2/3), industrial communication and common protocols
You have several years of experience with communication standards in the energy sector (e.g. IEC 61850, Modbus)
Ideally, you have knowledge of network security (e.g. firewalls, VLANs, VPN) and IoT technologies (e.g. MQTT, REST, OPC UA)
You have experience in the project planning of networks or in data modelling
You are familiar with edge devices, IoT gateways or cloud platforms
