Your tasks include

As part of our team, you will support us in many exciting areas:

  • Support for strategic projects at federal and state level in the area of cyber security. This applies to digitalisation projects in the administration as well as projects at security authorities, authorities with security tasks and KRITIS 
  • Close cooperation with CISOs/information security officers at federal and state level 
  • Understanding and conducting threat analyses and risk assessments and their methodological context in the public sector 
  • Analysing, designing and improving cybersecurity processes in the public sector 
  • Support and advice regarding IT vulnerability analyses
  • Support in the establishment of fundamental governance structures in the context of cyber security in public administration at federal and state level

What you bring with you

For this varied position you will have:

  • An above-average Master's degree (college/university), preferably in computer science, economics, political, social or administrative sciences 
  • Proven practical and project experience, e.g. in the context of internships in a management consultancy and public administration or an NGO and experience with agile methods in process and project management
  • A fundamental in-depth understanding of the topic of cybersecurity in a technical and/or organisational and/or strategic political context with initial demonstrable experience in a consultancy, industry administration or an NGO 
  • Understanding and experience of the cybersecurity processes of the public sector and the interaction between the various institutions or in comparable institutions, e.g. in industry
  • a strategic vision and a high affinity for public sector topics and their digitalisation in the context of cybersecurity
  • Ability to work in a team, confident demeanour as well as conversation and negotiation skills
  • strong perceptiveness and enthusiasm for personal continuous education as well as a passion for cybersecurity in public administration
