We are the digitalisation partner of the Cooperative Financial Network and combine decades of banking expertise with modern information technology. The IT solutions and services tailored specifically to banks range from data centre operations and the agree21 banking process to app development. As a German-speaking company, we use forward-looking technologies such as artificial intelligence and smart data and place great emphasis on process optimisation, security and regulation.
We have set ourselves the goal of enabling innovative digital banking and near-banking experiences for over 900 banks and more than 30 million bank customers. We therefore systematically invest in the expertise of our more than 5,500 employees and regard sustainability as a strategic corporate goal.
Our collaboration model is characterised by an agile, cross-functional way of working in all areas of the company. We connect people and markets of tomorrow - simply. digitally. securely. For our Infrastructure Backbone Services service field in the Automation and Deployment Platform Tribe, we are looking for you as a full-time System Engineer Managed Scheduling z/OS (m/f/d) in Karlsruhe or Münster. Your job will be assigned to the Scheduling & File Transfer squad. Here you will work with 8 colleagues across locations and with various interfaces.
Please note: On-call duty is required for this task.
In addition to an attractive salary and 30 days' holiday, we offer you the following benefits:
Flexible working: We work in a balanced hybrid mix of remote work and presence in modern office environments (activity-based working).
Work-life balance: With our individual working time models such as part-time, the option to work full-time between 30-40 hours and our lifetime working time account (sabbatical and/or time off before retirement), you will find the right balance.
Balancing your private life and career: We offer you a family budget and support in special family situations such as caring for family members.
Individual benefits: You can choose between bike leasing, IT hardware leasing, capital-forming benefits and/or an additional day off as well as a company pension scheme and other options.
Onboarding: We welcome you at our #enter welcome event; you can also expect a structured induction with a mentor and regular feedback meetings with your People Lead.
Health management - Health, Family and Life: We accompany and support you with our offers, for example through cooperation with the family co-operative and voiio. Eat a varied diet in our company restaurants and network with our sports offers.
Career model and further training: In our development dialogues, you will discuss your professional, methodological and personal career goals and pursue them through our wide range of further training opportunities.
Our corporate values: Respectful, open and honest, responsible, for each other and results-orientated - we are guided by team spirit and the desire for innovation and an intensive exchange of knowledge.
Future and job security: As a cooperative company with decades of experience, we are a pioneer of digital transformation in the banking world and a systemically relevant employer.
Kununu: We are a Top Company 2025 and proud of a Kununu score of 4.2 and a recommendation rate of ≥ 90 %.
You will work with us to further develop the automation platform with a focus on the IBM mainframe. You will design and implement applications and processes that our users use to create and operate their own automations.
The development and administration of tools (e.g. IBM Z Workload Scheduler, Stonebranch Universal Agent, Connect:Direct), as well as their integration into the Workload Automation Platform are part of your job.
You work with the team to optimise our working methods, tools, user queries/support and administration work. You'd rather script once than have the same task on your desk three times by hand.
You are curious, try things out and find out about new features, release notes, bugs and security risks.
You take part in the on-call duty (6*24h).
You have a degree in computer science and several years of relevant professional experience or a comparable qualification.
You have know-how in IBM z/OS and ideally one or more of the other technologies such as Linux Server and Openshift, are willing to learn new things and share your knowledge.
You have experience with programming, a feel for clean code and the quality of IT systems. You can differentiate between "ideal", "required" and "possible".
You are business fluent in German (at least C1 level) and have a good command of English (B2 level).
You don't mince your words! You like to deliver high-quality work results in a team, which requires honest, direct and constructive feedback.
