Für den reibungslosen Betrieb der Busse und Straßenbahnen der MVG ist ein Leitsystem unumgänglich. Die dafür in Metropolen eingesetzten ITCS Systeme (Intermodalen Transport Control System) bieten eine Vielzahl an Funktionen, um den Betrieb zu unterstützen. Damit ist es unter anderem möglich, auf außerordentliche Betriebsereignisse (z.B.: Verkehrsunfall) reagieren zu können und den Fahrdienst zur Erbringung ihrer Leistung zu unterstützen (z.B.: durch Aktivierung von Umleitungen zur Anzeige im Fahrerbedienelement und Weitergabe an die Fahrgäste über Auskunftsdienste). Die Stadtwerke München haben beim ITCS neue Wege beschritten und das System vollständig im Haus entwickelt. In diesem Vortrag wird es speziell darum gehen, welche Komponenten notwendig sind, um ein Leitsystem entwickeln zu können, welche Rahmenbedingungen dafür gegeben sein müssen und welche technischen Herausforderungen zu bewältigen sind. Es soll ein Eindruck vermittelt werden, welche vielfältigen Themen auf Entwickler warten, die bei einem solchen Projekt mitarbeiten dürfen und mit ihrer täglichen Arbeit einen sichtbaren Mehrwert für München schaffen.
