Your Tasks - this is what you can expect from us

• As a Senior Frontend Engineer (all genders) in our team, you proactively develop the Kaufland Marketplace and internal services further
• You connect us to the rapidly-growing customer base and, in cooperation with our UX / UI experts, you provide the best shopping experience
• You continuously optimize and maintain existing frontend applications regarding performance, speed, usability, by minimizing load times and maximizing interactivity
• Based on your well-founded experience and skills you proactively contribute with ideas to improve the development process
• You develop highly scalable and high-performance applications that efficiently handle web pages with significant traffic
• You continuously improve your colleagues' know-how, methodologies and delivery quality, and you lead by example
• You work in an international, English-speaking team

Your profile - this is what we expect from you

• You have extensive knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript
• You have expertise with Vue.js (CSR/SSR) or are skilled in other common frameworks
• You have in-depth knowledge of software development methods and principles that translate into writing code that is easy to understand and maintain
• You have solid knowledge about testing, debugging, monitoring and infrastructure
• You have excellent communication skills and know how to document technical specifications and decisions that affect your team or other teams
• You have the drive to continuously develop both yourself and your team further every day
• You have a very high capacity for abstraction, analytical thinking, and your decisions are based on data.you have built APIs using different paradigms (RESTful, gRPC)
• You have experience in validating ideas using A/B tests within fast-paced cycles
• You are familiar with backend application development either in PHP or other languages
