Job description

What you can expect from us

As an Automation Engineer in the Reloaded operational efficiency programme, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of standardised automation artefacts for the IT infrastructure. You will use modern Infrastructure as Code tools to create flexible automation workflows, in particular through the use of Ansible playbooks and roles.
You use GitLab to implement and test Ansible code to ensure its traceability and cross-team use.
You are responsible for the entire product life cycle of the automation workflows: Requirements analysis, design, automation, testing, deployment and maintenance. Your 3rd level support skills help to analyse the causes of errors and develop workarounds.
In your role, you will ensure security, compliance and best practices in the automation workflows.

What you bring with you

You have completed vocational training or a university degree in (business) informatics or a related field and have several years of relevant professional experience in the automation of IT infrastructure.
You are characterised by your expert knowledge in the automation of IT infrastructure and your solid knowledge in the use of current automation tools, in particular Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform. You also have extensive knowledge of application and infrastructure operations.
You have expertise in source code management systems such as GitLab, GitLab Pipelines and Jenkins and are familiar with the cloud-native development toolstack.
Your analytical skills and strategic way of thinking help you to find creative solutions and convince others of your ideas. You are also a strong communicator and enjoy working in an agile environment.
You communicate convincingly in writing and orally in German, our working language. Good English skills and experience in the DevSecOps environment round off your profile.
