As a Security Engineer (m/f/d) in the Managed Services division at PROFI AG, you are an indispensable part of our Security Service Centre (SSC). As part of a dedicated team of experts, you will utilise your versatile knowledge in the areas of security and networks to make our customers' IT environments future-proof. You will mainly work remotely, but will also be on site if required to provide comprehensive support to our customers, who are mainly German SMEs.

Your tasks include

Installation, configuration and administration of security & network infrastructures with a focus on firewalls, vulnerability scanning, SIEM, EDR, remote access solutions and switches in various IT scenarios
Support and troubleshooting including documentation in the ticket system (incident, problem and change management)
Patch, update and release management
Carrying out regular health checks and proactive security analyses of the customer's IT infrastructure
Support our Managed Services team by participating in the on-call service, including attractive remuneration on top
Active participation in the continuous development of security and network services and in cross-team projects

What you bring with you

Ideally you have

Several years of professional experience, including in the areas of firewall, SIEM systems and threat / vulnerability management, ideally with the products Checkpoint, Sophos, Extreme Networks, Huawei and Arctic Wolf
Good expertise in common IT security methods and processes, in network security and firewalls and in on-premise and cloud infrastructures
Experience in the areas of automation and scripting (Linux / Python)
Curiosity about working with modern technologies and common AI tools
Good analytical and conceptual skills, combined with a customer-oriented, independent way of working and a quick grasp of technical contexts
Enjoy working in a team
