We are looking for a full-time position (40 hours/week) at the earliest possible date
a Senior Software Architect DFBnet (m/f/d) in our IT & Digital division in the Technology & Operations department in Frankfurt am Main.

The IT & Digital division is responsible for the technical implementation and ongoing operation of all software products at the DFB.

As a Senior Software Architect (m/f/d), you will assume overall responsibility for the architecture of the DFBnet football management system. As part of the global guidelines, you will define the architecture of DFBnet and associated applications within the department. YOU ensure that the applications are customisable and expandable in the long term. Your architecture forms the basis for the stability and availability of the systems. You will also work closely with the architects of the individual products.

Your tasks include

Development of the technical vision and strategy for the assigned information systems
Development of the integration architecture
Technical structuring of projects
Creation of solution designs for projects
Monitoring, documentation and elimination of "architectural violations"
Identification and prioritisation of technical projects and plans
Technical and methodological advice for product owners

What you bring with you

IT background through studies or training with specialised further training and certification in the architecture environment
At least 3 years of professional experience as a solution architect
Ideally already lateral management experience
At least 3 years of in-depth knowledge as a senior software developer in an agile environment
Technological competences including Java EE, Spring Boot, web technologies
Sound knowledge of software development methods and best practices
Understanding of DevOps principles, including Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) with tools such as Jenkins or GitLab
Understanding of container technologies such as Docker and orchestration systems such as Kubernetes
