Bundeskartellamt

The Bundeskartellamt is an independent competition authority within the remit of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection. It is based in Bonn. We employ around 415 staff, around half of whom are trained in law or economics. Our task is to safeguard competition. We work together with the EU Commission, the state antitrust authorities and foreign antitrust authorities.
