In order to further improve our performance, we are looking for a part-time IT specialist (m/f/d) in IT systems engineering to coordinate and maintain the CAN network infrastructure of the Cologne fire brigade as soon as possible.

Your tasks include

You...

- are the main contact person for CAN (Cologne Area Network) infrastructure in the Cologne Fire Department.

- are involved in the creation and planning of CAN equipment standards and record customer requirements.

- order components and services from the Office for Digitisation and Information Technology as well as additional lines in the "Physical Networks" area.

- install smaller WLAN installations and individual switches and coordinate technical appointments.

- contribute to the expansion and maintenance of FNI, take care of DHCP changes and represent the company in the area of active networks.

- work on specialised IT projects.

- take part in the on-call service for critical systems (alternating between groups).

What you bring with you

- a successfully completed (specialised) university degree in a subject relevant to the tasks to be performed (e.g. computer science, business informatics, electrical engineering) or

- proven equivalent skills and experience in the IT field (for example, through training as an IT specialist in combination with at least two years of professional experience)
 

You also have:

- Class B driving licence

- health suitability to fulfil the tasks, in particular with regard to the on-call service.
