Job description

We are looking for you to join our team as a Junior Penetration Tester in Cologne. We help our customers to identify potential security risks and derive measures from them - before someone else does. Our Security Testing team consists of experienced testers with many years of experience in analysing vulnerabilities.

Your tasks include

  • You will support the security testing team with technical security audits, penetration tests, source code analyses and configuration audits.
  • You deal with challenging problems and research new vulnerabilities and types of attack.
  • You create final reports and documentation of test results.
  • You present the procedure and test results to technical contacts and advise on threats to the identified vulnerabilities and their countermeasures.

What you bring with you

  • You have successfully completed a degree in computer science, IT security, information technology or a comparable degree programme. Alternatively, you have successfully completed vocational training with a suitable subject specialisation.
  • You have some experience with pentest labs, CTFs, bug bounties or other hacking challenges.
  • You have some knowledge of one or more GNU/Linux distributions.
    Ideally, you have already gained initial project experience in carrying out technical penetration tests and/or source code analyses.
  • You have solid expertise in one or more programming languages.
  • You enjoy dissecting the latest gadgets and technologies and are also interested in pentesting in your spare time.
  • You have a very good command of German and good written and spoken English.
    You see occasional business trips as a change from everyday office life.
  • You fulfil the requirements for carrying out a safety inspection in accordance with SÜG.
