We are looking for a full-time (40hours/week) position at the earliest possible date for a Head of Enterprise Architecture (m/f/d) in our IT & Digital division at the Frankfurt am Main location.
  
 
The IT & Digital division is responsible for the technical implementation and ongoing operation of all software products at the DFB.

As Head, you will lead the Enterprise Architecture team and have overall responsibility for the IT and software architecture. You are responsible for the development and implementation of the architectural vision and strategy and ensure that the systems are designed to be sustainable and future-proof.
 
Your tasks will include maintaining the overarching architecture plans and defining and adhering to architectural guidelines in order to ensure smooth technical and functional collaboration between operations and the product departments. As Head of Enterprise Architecture, you will ensure that cross-cutting technological issues are dealt with effectively.
 
You will manage the content of the senior software architects and support them in implementing the architectural specifications. You will ensure that the architectural rules are adhered to at all levels in order to guarantee the efficiency and quality of the IT landscape.

Your tasks include

  • Creation, implementation and enforcement of organisational framework conditions
  • Recruitment, management and support of the team
  • Review and proactive development of the department's required skills profile
  • Architectural and technical advice to the Head of Technology & Operations
  • Definition of technology standards

What you bring with you

  • IT background with a degree and specialised further training and certification in architecture topics
  • At least 3 years of professional experience as an Enterprise Architect or Senior Software Developer
  • Leadership experience, including leading architecture teams and developing architecture strategies
  • Expert as Solution Architect in the Java, Web and SAP environment
  • Familiarity with relevant technologies and frameworks for Java, JavaScript libraries and API design
  • Understanding of DevOps principles, including Continuous integration/ Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
  • Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven architecture
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in German and English
  • Experience in the development and implementation of IT strategies and roadmaps
