a (Senior) Software Architect Sports (m/f/d) in our IT & Digital division in the Technology & Operations department in Frankfurt am Main.
 
 
The IT & Digital division is responsible for the technical implementation and ongoing operation of all software products at the DFB. 
 
As a (Senior) Software Architect, you will be responsible for some of the systems and applications and for the technical conception and architecture of various digital web applications and portal solutions. You will provide technical guidance to the development team and determine at implementation level how new requirements are realised. You are the main source of expertise for the functional and technical operation of individual applications. Together with the Senior Software Architect, you will also determine how components interact with each other. You will also have the tasks of a technical project manager and coordinate the technical implementation.

Your tasks include

  • Creation of solution designs (architecture) for components
  • Carrying out code and architecture reviews
  • Initiation and implementation of refactorings
  • Checking and ensuring compliance with standards and quality metrics for your web applications and applications 
  • Technical advice to the product owners regarding your applications
  • Documentation of the technical components
  • Support in the creation of overarching architecture concepts

What you bring with you

  • IT background through studies or training with specialised further training and certification in the architecture environment
  • Several years of professional experience as a software architect
  • In-depth expertise and experience as a senior developer in an agile environment
  • In-depth knowledge of modern software engineering methods, software modernisation and the technologies Java, Jakarta EE, Spring Boot, Kubernetes
  • Experience in the conception and technical implementation with backend systems (e.g. Java, Spring-Boot, SQL, Gradle, Keycloak, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Experience in the conception and technical realisation of web applications
  • Concrete experience in DevOps, CI/CD and with common developer tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in German and English
