Your tasks include

✈ Contributing to the establishment of an Open Source Programme Office (OSPO) and contributing to the further development of processes and audit procedures for the selection and use of open source technologies

✈ Leading and coordinating licence checks and evaluation of open source software in projects and products

✈ Advising management and executives on the strategic and technical selection of current technologies, especially in the context of cloud technologies

✈ Advising the development departments on the use of open source software or COTS software

✈ Leading interdisciplinary teams to define solution architectures and the use of open source software and COTS technologies

✈ Creation of well-founded recommendations for technology selection with appropriate consideration of licence compatibility and risk assessment

✈ Developing concepts, transition plans and scenarios for the life cycle management of open source software and COTS products

✈ Co-design of guidelines and governance structures

✈ Leading internal and external audits on the licence compliance of the technologies used

What you bring with you

✈ Completed studies (Bachelor/Master) in computer science, business informatics, software engineering or comparable qualification

✈ Many years of professional experience in the use of COTS and open source technologies in the context of development projects and the definition of architectures, ideally in a regulated environment

✈ Sound knowledge of OSS licence models (e.g. GPL, MIT, Apache) and their legal implications

✈ Knowledge of copyright law and IT contract law

✈ Experience with open source compliance tools and CI/CD development processes

✈ Project management experience and high level of consulting expertise

✈ Strong interdisciplinary skills, in particular the ability to analyse, willingness to change, goal orientation, ability to cooperate and persuasiveness

✈ Business fluent in written and spoken German and English
