Job description

As a Junior API Manager, you will become an integral part of our team, responsible for managing and optimising our API platform. Working alongside our experienced developers, product managers, and other colleagues, you will ensure that our APIs meet the needs of our company and offer the highest quality. Your main objective will be to guarantee the efficiency, security, and reliability of our APIs, all while gaining valuable experience in API management. In parallel with API management, you will bring an affinity for IT infrastructures and make a valuable contribution to operations with your expertise.

Your tasks include

  • Ensuring the stable and secure operation of our API platform
  • Skilful application of IaC, AI and CI/CD pipelines to continuously optimise and improve the operation of the API platform and processes
  • Monitoring the performance of our APIs and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Active engagement with the topic of security to protect our APIs from potential threats, as well as further development of the API platform
  • Collaboration in IT Core Infrastructure – LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls and Load Balancers as well as Active Directory and Windows Server

What you bring with you

  • Completed degree in (Business) Informatics or IT specialist successfully completed and first experience in the IT environment gained; alternatively, a comparable qualification.
  • Ideally, first experience in API management and familiar with various IT architectures and networks
  • Not afraid of the command line and ideally knowledge of scripting or programming (Python, Terraform, Bash, PowerShell, GitLab and Azure DevOps Pipelines are an advantage)
  • Fundamental understanding of project management practices and an open mindset towards agile working methods
  • A way of working characterised by partnership, appreciation, enthusiasm, and teamwork.
