Your tasks include

  • Cooperation with international Colleagues on challenging IT projects
  • Analysing and expanding existing software systems and applications in a heterogeneous, complex IT system environment based on a IBM mainframe architecture with the systems DB2, IMS / CICS etc.
  • Software development with COBOL, SQL, JCL for mainframe software 

What you bring with you

  • Completed Study practical / applied computer science or training as an IT specialist (f/m/d)
  • Experience in designing software and tuning options with database modelling practice
  • Practical experience with complex SQL queries and database performance analyses and their optimisation
  • Safe handling of Database management systemspreferably DB2 and the associated database languages and tools
  • Knowledge of the structures in TWS / OPC for setting up automated batch processes
  • Practical experience in IT Project management e.g. process risk analysis, requirements management, business client communication
  • Analytical and strategic thinking
  • Systematic, methodical and solution-orientated approach
  • Good Knowledge of Englishgood knowledge of German, ideally also knowledge of French
