Die Landeshauptstadt München (LHM) zählt zu den führenden Smart Cities in Deutschland und strebt kontinuierlich danach, noch smarter zu werden. Ein zentraler Baustein dieser Weiterentwicklung ist die Integration von Künstlicher Intelligenz in die Stadtverwaltung. Die Bedeutung von KI ist fest in der Digitalisierungsstrategie der LHM verankert, was zur Gründung des KI Competence Centers (KICC) führte. Das KICC bündelt Ressourcen und Expertise, um KI als strategisches Werkzeug in der Stadtverwaltung zu etablieren und als Anbieter von sprachmodellbasierten Services und Data Science zu agieren. Aktuelle Projekte, wie die Entwicklung von MUCGPT – einer datenschutzkonformen Sprachmodell-Anwendung für die Stadtverwaltung – und der Aufbau einer Retrieval-Augmented-Generation Architektur, um städtische Daten durch den Gebrauch natürlicher Sprache durchsuchbar zu machen verdeutlichen das Potenzial der KI für eine effizientere Verwaltung. Die LHM möchte damit aufzeigen, wie eine verantwortungsvolle Nutzung von KI den Weg in die digitale Zukunft ebnen kann.
