Landeswohlfahrtsverband (LWV) Hessen

The Hesse State Welfare Association (LWV) is a state-wide local authority association supported by the districts and independent cities. On their behalf, it finances social services for disabled, mentally ill and socially disadvantaged people and supports them in their everyday lives and at work. LWV employees in Kassel, Darmstadt and Wiesbaden ensure this.

More than 1,300 employees (m/f/d) work at the three administrative locations in Kassel, Darmstadt and Wiesbaden to fulfil these tasks in a targeted and successful manner.

Around 450 others work in special schools and centres and other facilities. LWV Hessen is also the sole shareholder of Vitos GmbH, which provides a significant proportion of psychiatric care in Hesse.
