Job description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • You are part of the platform architects' group and define the architecture of the B. Braun digital platform, covering key platform subsystems and shared capabilities.
  • You analyse solutions and technologies, and provide recommendations for improving platform services and supporting long-term evolution.
  • You serve as a trusted advisor and guide for product teams in transforming existing products and developing new ones
  • You collaborate with experts from diverse domains and play a crucial role in shaping the digital future of B. Braun products.
  • You offer mentorship and guidance to junior software developers and participate as a co-developer in project teams.
  • You work closely with development teams to translate architectural concepts into flexible, scalable, robust implementations, guiding them during design, implementation, and review cycles. 

 

Professional competences

  • You have a degree in computer science, information technology, business informatics, or several years of relevant professional experience in distributed systems and platforms.
  • You have a strong background in cloud-native system architecture, ideally in Microsoft Azure, including the design of distributed systems, system integration, scalability, and resilience.
  • You have experience with event-driven architectures, device and third-party integration architectures, asynchronous messaging patterns, and hybrid setups (mixed on-premise/cloud).
  • You have hands-on experience with Agile development processes (Scrum) and architecture methodologies (e.g., DDD, integration patterns, software modelling) with a strong emphasis on secure design.
  • You would benefit from having experience of working in regulated domains, e.g. the healthcare industry

  • You are a self-starter with a hands-on mentality.
  • You possess a passion for technology and a desire to continuously learn and grow
  • You remain productive, focused and effective in critical situations and help guide teams towards clear solutions
  • You communicate fluently in English. It would be a plus if you have knowledge in German
