Even a central bank needs strong IT! We operate in a special environment of business (cash and non-cash payment transactions), politics (financial stability and banking supervision) and science (forecasts and risk assessments). We are helping to shape digitalisation and social change - we are growing with the new, major demands on IT.
Modern infrastructure for specialised applications and workstations is our goal. We also develop applications, many of which can only be found in the central bank environment, and support them in high-performance data centres based on the latest technology.
As Germany's central bank, we also work for Europe. Together with partners, our IT enables electronic payment transactions in the eurozone. IT has a special role to play in digitalisation projects and thus in the future of the German central bank. All of this is only possible with high-performance, multi-layered and flexible IT.
