We’re going to introduce everyone to our store manager „Pete“. Pete has ordered too many watermelons by mistake and got flooded by them. To avoid problems like this he asks ALDI Data & Analytics Services (short: ADA) for help. Based on Petes input, the available data and thorough investigation ADA implements a solution that forecasts demand and helps Pete make the best decisions. But since this problem is a problem every store manager globally experiences ADA takes this a step further and rolls the problem out to all countries.
This Talk is about the process of solving analytical questions that might come up in the day-to-day of ALDIs employees and how to re-think and roll them out globally, what kind of analytical challenges might come up from this and how we manage to solve them.
