Visometry develops leading industrial software solutions that enable our customers to improve and make manufacturing processes more efficient. Our products focus on Augmented Reality and Computer Vision for industrial use. 

We are seeking a Senior Computer Vision Engineer (m/f/d) for the further development of our real-time capable computer vision core software. You will be working on CAD-based object tracking and machine learning methods used in an industrial iOS app in the App Store.

Your tasks:
You are part of a specialised team working on computer vision algorithms for industrial augmented reality and computer vision applications. Here, you will contribute your experience in the development, evaluation, and productisation of modern CV procedures, combining deep technical expertise with curiosity, critical thinking, and a readiness to delve into unfamiliar problem areas and develop viable solutions.

Your tasks include

You are working with the following technology stack:

  • visionLib (C++): Core library for real-time computer vision algorithms (including CAD-based object tracking)

  • vis-python (Python): internal development environment for benchmarks, experiments, and training and evaluation of neural networks (PyTorch)

  • Twyn View (C# / Unity / iOS): iOS end-user application for industrial quality assurance, published on the App Store. The app is Unity-based and integrates the C++ library visionLib for object tracking

  • GitLab: Version control, code reviews and continuous integration (CI) for all components

What you bring with you

  • Completed degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field with above-average academic success

  • Several years of practical experience in computer vision, ideally in an industrial or product-related environment

  • Very good knowledge of C++ or Python, as well as a structured, maintainable programming style.

  • In-depth understanding in at least one of the following areas: 3D Vision, Object Tracking, Pose Estimation, Machine Learning, or Optimisation

  • Experience in the development, evaluation and improvement of algorithmic procedures under real-world conditions

  • Independent, structured way of working and clear technical communication

  • Fluent German, spoken and written

     

The following are also advantageous

  • Experience with OpenCV, PyTorch, or comparable frameworks

  • Knowledge of CAD-based tracking, 3D geometry processing, or AR applications

  • Experience with Unity, C# or iOS development

  • Secure handling of CMake, Git and CI-based development processes
