Low-code/no-code platforms enable companies to drive digital innovations faster and more efficiently - but how can they be successfully introduced?

Using a best-practice example of the effective use of the Microsoft Power Platform at BMW, CONET shows how a strategic governance structure and targeted enablement programmes promote the development of business-relevant applications by citizen developers and at the same time how CONET Power Platform experts actively support BMW in the implementation of complex applications.

The presentation provides practical insights into the introduction of a low-code/no-code platform and gives decision-makers from IT and specialist departments valuable impetus to utilise the full potential of this technology in their company.

Cyber aggression threatens our prosperity and security

How is Germany adapting to this?

LLM systems are not only "jailbroken" - they can be compromised indirectly via websites, PDFs, emails and RAG data. Cedric "Morpheus" Moessner shows the current attack patterns: prompt injections, prompt leaks, spec evasion and data/RAG poisoning. We separate jailbreaks vs. indirect injections, look at typical attack surfaces (retrievers, tools, plugins) and show compact countermeasures.

This is LLM-AppSec, so to speak, and a completely new area of IT security

The lecture will examine hybrid activities in the run-up to and surrounding armed conflict as a profound challenge for democratic societies, with a particular focus on their impact on armed forces. It will be emphasised that hybrid threats - i.e. targeted, coordinated activities below the threshold of war - are no longer only of a military nature, but are increasingly penetrating civilian security structures. This means that societies as a whole are also being targeted. These threats combine military and non-military means such as cyber attacks, disinformation or the targeted incitement of the population in order to destabilise public institutions. The ambiguity and anonymity of such attacks makes a clear response difficult and jeopardises the ability to act in the event of a crisis. While NATO and the UK emphasise military responses more strongly, the EU and Germany focus on social resilience.

Patricia Hillebrand joined the IT engine room over 25 years ago - not as a token woman, but because she wanted to. She has worked with technology, led teams, hauled servers, pitched business plans, thought about AI, managed large and small projects - and experienced time and again how deep-seated prejudices are in our industry.

In her talk, she takes you on a journey through a cosmos full of personal experiences, clichés and career craters and sheds light on the following questions:

  • What has the emancipation movement actually achieved in IT - apart from bringing us the polarising gender star?
  • Why does the industry talk about diversity and skills shortages, but still employ the same stereotypes?
  • What can parents, daycare centres, schools, universities and companies do to finally establish a modern image of women in the tech industry?
  • Do we need less Barbie and pink tablets and more bits & bytes and role models?

Find out together with Patricia whether Tech needs gender equality officers who pay lip service. Or rather courageous women who no longer hide their light under a bushel, but shine it. For the next generation. And for a diverse tech world that finally throws the stale clichés overboard.

What happens when you stop asking for permission - and instead start acting boldly? In this inspiring talk, Luboslava Uram shares her personal and professional journey: from the lecture hall, where she felt out of place, to the top of international technology teams.

With clear principles - curiosity, courage, community and consistency - she shows how women can take on leadership roles even when the structures are not designed for them.

An invitation to act boldly, to make a real impact - and to make a clear decision: don't wait. Go ahead.

When we open computer science books or follow tech conferences, we mainly encounter men. Men who have invented things, who explain technology or who act as experts. At the same time, we keep hearing: "We need female role models in the tech sector! Women need to be more daring, take centre stage, be louder!" But is that really what needs to happen?

In her talk, Lea Schönberger shows why the way we talk about tech and the history of technology is problematic. She talks about women who have made important contributions but are largely unknown and explains how she wants to create space for the stories of female computer scientists of yesterday and today with her podcast "Computer Science for the Modern Housewife".

As part of the critical infrastructure, energy companies in Germany are subject to strict legal requirements for secure IT operations. Next Kraftwerke therefore regularly discusses the extent to which these requirements can also be implemented in the cloud. They shed light on exciting risk scenarios, show how they prepare for them and evaluate from the perspective of IT and software development whether and in which aspects implementation in the cloud or in their own data centre is more suitable.

New regulations, constantly changing standards, terms such as "OCPP", "calibration law" or "AFIR": at first glance, modern tech industries - such as e-mobility - seem like a jungle of standards, obligations and complex technology. Of course, the industry is young, dynamic and anything but static. If you want to help shape it, you have to stay agile. Change doesn't happen on its own!

But doesn't the opportunity perhaps outweigh the challenge? The presentation shows why change does not necessarily have to be unsettling - but can also be the key to gaining a foothold in a growing market and helping to shape it.

An invitation to all those with a desire for change - and to a topic that has long had a firm grip on the future of green energy.

ITCS MasterclassesExperience tech topics in a practical way!

Experience current industry topics in a practical way and learn from leading experts - this is exactly what the masterclasses offer. The format goes beyond a conventional presentation. In practice-orientated sessions, you can discover innovative solutions, make valuable contacts and gain directly applicable insights.

Data is usually regarded as objective facts. But can this really be said in general terms?

Far too often, we encounter distorted representations - whether due to the choice of unsuitable visualisations, incorrect interpretations or simply an unrepresentative data basis. Keyword: gender data gap.

In this masterclass, Dr Lea Schönberger explains typical errors in data analysis. We will learn how to recognise bias in data sets, which cognitive distortions occur in the presentation of data and how we can detect, avoid or make targeted use of them. We will also look together at how data and the statements derived from it can be communicated with diversity-conscious storytelling in such a way that more people feel addressed and less excluded - which is particularly important when communicating tech topics.
