Defence Hub

At the Defence Hub, you will meet companies and initiatives in the fields of security and defense. On the Defence Stage and in masterclasses, you will get to know their technologies and projects.

The Programme grows daily until 40+ talks with cutting-edge tech topics await you on the day of the fair!

Everyone can use AI. Almost half of all students already use it daily. So that’s no longer what sets you apart. What does: understanding how a process actually works, and then rebuilding it with AI. Jana spent 16 years in banking before moving into IT, where she now leads AI projects. She talks about what that shift taught her, why most AI projects fail in the wrong order, and what that means for anyone starting a career right now.

Behind modern digital services today are no longer individual applications, but complex webs of data, channels, platforms and teams.

The central challenge is no longer the development of individual solutions, but their consistent interplay. Using the ADAC as an example, you will learn how architecture and governance make complexity manageable, unlock synergies, and create the foundation for scalable business impact as well as the collaboration between humans and AI.

The talk demonstrates how women in IT often underestimate themselves and get stuck in "imposter mode". Using her contrasting CV, Anke Wiechmann shows how we can transform our internal, critical self-perception into a confident external image. The aim is to provide practical tips that help communicate one's own value clearly and thus gain new professional opportunities and self-confidence.

A single system error, and the ship sinks. This is exactly where the job of Tobias Rukwid, Director Project Management Naval Communication Systems at Rohde & Schwarz begins: systems that explode due to complexity, a worldwide growing need that must be orchestrated, and in the midst of it a project manager who must keep the course when the sea gets rougher than ever before. Where this complexity really becomes a test of endurance, how to still keep the course, and where AI will be on board tomorrow as part of the crew.

The cyber and information domain is also becoming increasingly important for the European Union's Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP). Therefore, project partners France, the Netherlands and Hungary, together with Germany as project coordinator, intend to provide the EU with a Cyber and Information Domain Coordination Centre (CIDCC). This PESCO project is intended to support EU-led military operations and missions as an initial coordination element by pooling and analysing information and intelligence from the cyber and information domain, and then feeding this into the military planning and command process.

As part of the project, CONET is playing a major role in supporting the CIDCC with the creation of a mockup to comprehensively depict a multidimensional situational picture in cyberspace, specifically for EU operations and EU missions. The information presented covers, in particular, the cyber and information space, the electromagnetic spectrum and social media. This represents the closing of a capability gap that is being addressed collaboratively at a European level.

Good technologies alone do not change society. It takes people who share knowledge, take responsibility, and work together to make a difference.

The Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V. creates a strong community for this purpose and connects people from academia, business, administration, and civil society. The lecture demonstrates why commitment is worthwhile and outlines the future of the digital city of Munich, where it becomes clear how diverse and socially relevant modern IT is in the public sector.

The demos were impressive. The promised productivity gains sounded almost too good to be true. And many developers quickly found their favourite AI coding tool. But what happens after the initial excitement fades?

This talk tells the story of how BurdaForward brought together AI Ambassadors from 14 development teams to tackle one of engineering’s biggest challenges today: Turning AI from individual wins into an organisation-wide engineering superpower.

Expect honesty lessons learned, surprising challenges, and one unexpectedly controversial topicselecting the AI tool stack. Most importantly, we’ll tackle the question every engineering organisation will eventually face: Beyond the hype, beyond the demos, beyond the honeymoon phase: was it really worth it all?

FAQ - If you are still unsure: Take a look, you may already find the answers here. Solution.

The ITCS is aimed at professionals and students with IT experience.

Please noteThis is not a training fair. Participation from the age of 18.

The ITCS takes place in the MOC Event Centre in Hall 3. The MOC is located at Lilienthalallee 40.

There is also a multi-storey car park right next to Hall 4 if you are coming by car. You can get off the underground at Freimann or Kieferngarten station and walk a few minutes. You can find all travel options here.

Many companies post their current jobs online in their profiles in advance, so you can find out in advance. You can also find all jobs at a glance in our Job listings. A visit to the stand is worthwhile even without a specific tender.

A good place to start is to take a look at the company profiles. There you will not only find the current jobs, but also exciting insights into the corporate culture, benefits and sometimes even impressions of everyday working life. This way, you can get an idea of the company before the fair and decide which companies you would like to talk to.

Also use the Chat Dateto secure appointments in advance. As soon as the programme is online, you can make a note of interesting talks in your calendar. Also keep an eye on the events page, where you will regularly find new information and updates.

Of course, your visit to the ITCS costs you nothing!

This is made possible by our exhibitors, who finance the trade fair. For you, this means: simply come, discover and enjoy the day carefree.

Only external services such as the cloakroom or bistro are not free, but everything to do with the ITCS is.

With the Chat Date, you can easily get in touch with exciting companies. About our Chat Date Form send us your CV and select which companies you are particularly interested in.

We will forward your documents as a speculative application to your chosen company. If your profile matches, they will get in touch with you and arrange an interview directly at the ITCS. This way, you start the day at the fair with the best contacts and are one step ahead of other applicants.

All stages at the ITCS are freely accessible, so you don't need to register to attend a lecture. It is best to arrive about five minutes before the start so that you can secure a good seat in peace. If you are late, you can of course still join us, just make sure you disturb the others as little as possible.

After each presentation, there will be a Q&A with the speakers where you can ask your questions. And if you fancy a longer conversation or discussion, you may even be invited directly to the speakers' stand or the networking area.

You must register in advance for a masterclass. Registration is usually activated during the week of the trade fair - you can then simply add it to your already booked ticket. You will also receive an extra email from us with all the information.

Please notePlaces are very limited and therefore book up quickly. Only book if you can really take part and have the necessary prior knowledge.

If you don't get a place, it's still worth taking a look directly on site: with a bit of luck, there are still a few places left.

No such thing - you're welcome to come in Star Trek uniform #comeasyouare

Yes, this is possible. In your order confirmation, you will find an editing link that you can use to adjust your ticket - for example, to add or remove additional products such as masterclasses.

Yes, children are very welcome at the ITCS and do not need their own ticket.

On request, we can create a personalised congress badge for your child at the entrance.

Yes, there is a cloakroom on site.

You can drop off items of clothing and luggage there for €2 each.

Please remember to bring (preferably suitable) cash with you.

Yes, there is a bistro on site. Please note that we are not responsible for the offer and prices.
You are also welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks.

Tip: It's best to take some cash with you - that way you're on the safe side.
